Cummins & White Adds Real Estate & Business Litigation Attorneys ...

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, Apr 04, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) ?
Cummins & White, LLP, a well-known diversified full-service
business and insurance law practice, is pleased to announce that
attorney Dan Wildish has joined the firm as a partner in the real
estate and business litigation practice areas. Also joining Cummins &
White is associate Michael R. Hickman, who will handle real estate
litigation, specializing in real estate broker defense. The new hires
bring the firm to 22 lawyers.

Wildish, who has more than 30 years of experience, will focus on all
major areas of real estate litigation, contract law, tort,
construction litigation, defense, environmental litigation, title
insurance, escrow law, and boundary disputes. His clients include
real estate developers, brokers, and agents, as well as escrow and
title companies, community groups, homeowner associations, and
contractors. Wildish has substantial trial and litigation experience,
having tried many complex, cutting-edge real estate and business
trials in Orange County, including multiple jury trials, court
trials, and judicial arbitrations. In addition, he has extensive
experience in all aspects of appellate practice.

Hickman will provide counsel for real estate brokers, managers, and
agents concerning residential real estate transactions. Additionally,
he will represent landlords in unlawful detainer actions. Hickman has
extensive experience litigating real property and title issues,
including quiet title claims, easements, mechanics liens, lender and
foreclosure defense, and lien property.

James Wakefield, managing partner at Cummins & White, said the new
attorneys are the perfect complement to the firm?s busy real estate
and business litigation practice areas. ?We are thrilled to have Dan
and Michael join our team,? Wakefield said. ?We are committed to
hiring the best talent, and this means attorneys with extensive
experience, as well as those who bring a new energy to our
organization. Dan is a skilled, experienced litigator, who has been
affiliated with key business and real estate cases, and he will
continue to do so. Michael brings a strong background in real estate
litigation and will be an asset for the firm. These outstanding
attorneys will play an important role in our plans for continued
growth in 2012 and beyond.?

Wildish said his move to Cummins & White was based on the full range
of services offered by the firm. ?The larger platform offered by
Cummins & White will allow me to shift away from operations and focus
on my core areas of expertise, including trial work and client
service,? he said. ?In addition, clients requiring legal services
outside of my practice areas will have their needs met by the
experienced and talented lawyers at the firm. I also am looking
forward to working again with Michael Hickman. We have tried several
cases together, and I know that we?ll step back into a strong,
productive relationship.?
