Emmy nominations for actress in a TV drama series (AP)

LOS ANGELES ? The Primetime Emmy nominations for best actress in a television drama series have been announced in Los Angeles by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The category's nominees announced Thursday morning are: Julianna Margulies, "The Good Wife" (CBS); Connie Britton, "Friday Night Lights" (NBC/DirecTV); Mireille Enos, "The Killing" (AMC); Kathy Bates, "Harry's Law" (NBC); and Elisabeth Moss, "Mad Men" (AMC).

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Jane Lynch.
