MIAMI (AP) ? Notre Dame's Brian Kelly says he doesn't have a desire to coach in the NFL and if a pro team was interested in talking to him about a job vacancy, he wouldn't even know about it until after the BCS championship against Alabama.
Kelly was asked about the NFL during media day at Sun Life Stadium. He says he's too caught up in the job he has to look toward another.
Kelly has led the top-ranked Fighting Irish to a perfect record in his third season as coach in South Bend, Ind. He says he thinks he has "the best job in the country."
He says an NFL team would have to contact his agent. He indicated he doesn't even know if that's happened.
