Hispanic television network Univision and Swiss online games site Miniclip.com have entered into a partnership to launch a co-branded online gaming property designed specifically for the U.S. Hispanic audience. Launching in December, Univision Juegos will make Miniclip's library of "more than 800 games" available to Univision.com's online user base.
Miniclip said that it entered into this partnership so that it could cater to the growing Hispanic demographic in America. They cite 2011 U.S. Census Bureau data which shows that there are 52 million Hispanics in the U.S., which represent 16.7 percent of the population.
"This partnership is not only a testament to Univision's commitment to deliver the very best content on-air, but also attests to our pledge to deliver that same quality content online," said Kevin Conroy, president, Univision Interactive and Enterprise Development. "We are pleased to have partnered with Miniclip and look forward to increasing our footprint in the gaming space."
Miniclip will be responsible for creating and operating all the content for Univision Juegos. You can learn more at UnivisionJuegos.Miniclip.com.
